The first word that comes to mind in describing Mani Megalai is enthusiastic. She gets excited about everything! Whether it’s swimming, coloring, or styling another girls hair, she does it with joy and energy. She loves to run around and play outside. Mani Megalai is very smart and is a people person. One volunteer tells a story of witnessing her count out a stack of plates (as fast as lightning) for the girls in her dinner group - not by numbers, but my their names, “Sathya, Usha, Anitha, Mispa, Nagalakshmi, Vanamalar...” Until she had listed all 25 girls and ran with the plates back to her group. With a sharp mind like this, Mani Megalai is sure to excel while at Rising Star Outreach and beyond.
