Nagu is a very smart little girl. She does great in school and is continually improving in her English. Both of Nagu's grandparents have leprosy so she was born in the Calwary Nagar leprosy colony about 20 miles from Rising Star. Her little brother Vicky is also studying with us at the Peery School for Rising Stars. Both Nagu and her brother are very sensitive and sometimes break into tears when attention is called to them. Something as simple as a reprimand to "sit up straight" is liable to cause a welling of tears in Nagu's eyes. Her housemother said that Nagu once bawled her eyes out, screaming, then sobbing, then back to screaming, all because a playground incident caused her to go to timeout. Being perfect is hard, but its Nagu's goal. And frankly she's about as close as it comes.
