Ansari is a sleeper. This kid could sleep for the entire day, wake up to get something to eat, and need a nap because eating had worn him out. Even during the hour of afternoon playtime he can often times be found napping upstairs in his room. But don't mistake Ansari for being lazy; he excels in school and always finishes his homework on time. He is also rarely in trouble for the normal rough-housing like his classmates. Ansari is a very quiet and serious boy, but the one time when you will see him become animated is when his family comes to visit each month. He smiles in every picture taken of him on those special days. His family lives about 45 minutes away in the Bethalnagar leprosy colony where Ansari's father and both grandparents have leprosy. Ansari's presence at Rising Star not only grants him a great education, but helps ensure his safety from the disease that has devastated his family.
