Steele and Sarah Hendershot (Country Directors)

Steele and Sarah Hendershot met in Southern Utah and were married soon after.  They started raising their family of five children in Utah where Steele graduated from The Marriott School at BYU.  Early on in their marriage Steele had the opportunity to work with Grameen Foundation in Washington D.C. where he worked with and learned from some of the pioneers of micro-credit, including former CEO of Unitus Geoff Davis and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Mahammad Yunus.  Several years later, Steele stepped in as a Director of a reputable private school where he managed the finances, budget, and many of the school's administrative duties.  In addition, Steele has organized and headed up several large business ventures providing him with over ten years of project management experience.  After several meetings with Becky Douglas, Padma, Amy Antonelli, and Ron and Joyce Hansen, Steele and Sarah were invited to come on board as Country Directors of Rising Star Outreach of India, which they accepted with much gratitude and excitement! 

Sarah is the third oldest of ten children, was born in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Southern Utah when she was in high school.  While attending college she met Steele in her chemistry class of all places!  Sarah is an avid skier and former college soccer player, she loves being a mother to five children and loves the new challenge and opportunity of being a mother to many of the wonderful children at Rising Star Outreach of India!
