Jeevitha is one of our younger girls, but she defiantly doesn’t go unnoticed. She leaves a big impression on everyone, young and old. She is mature beyond her years. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, she replied, ‘I want to be a kid’. Smart girl! Singing and dancing are among her many talents. Jeevitha’s smile is enough to brighten even the darkest day. She loves learning, and her favorite subjects are math and tamil. Jeevitha has two year old brother that she just adores. We are sure that she will accomplish amazing things in her life. Jeevitha makes life here at Rising Star a little brighter, and more exciting. We are proud to call her ours!

Kanmani Devan is sweet, but a little clumsy. Maybe it is because he is trying to run faster than his feet can actually carry him. But he loves playing outside, especially in the playhouse that the kids have. He is probably cooking up some tasty rice for he and all his friends since he can’t seem to get enough of the stuff. Spiderman is his hero, and he loves to play with dogs so that they won’t get lonely. He loves to play and have fun, but if you look a little closer, you will see a very sensitive little boy.

Karpagavalli is one of the sweetest children that you will ever find.  She is the peacemaker of Rising Star.  She has a deep love for everyone, especially her father.  Karpagavili is fun to be with because she is never afraid to try new things.  She has a love for learning and reading.  She excels in school, and practices her English everyday.  She is always the fist to get her chores done, and the fist to offer help to the other children and house mothers.  Karpagavalli's best subject is Tamil, but her favorite is math.  She enjoys library time, and looking at pictures in the science books.  She is an example of joy and light to everyone around.  Her teachers say they couldn't ask for a better student.

Karthick is just like a little teddy bear… he loves to be held (unless of course the big boys are around).  He is very affectionate and thoughtful.  At night Karthick is always among the first to ask for the 'Night-Night Song'.  He appreciates acknowledgement, and will often point out his correct answer; however he is good at recognizing others accomplishments as well.  It's rare to see such confidence in someone his age.  We love having Karthick here with as at Rising Star!

Keerthika is all girl... she loves to do the girls hair, sing and dance, and skip rope. Everyday at recess she runs to the play area, and gives her big sister a hug and a kiss. Even though she is the younger of the two, she tries her best to take care of Mounika. She is doing well in all subjects. Her favorite is English, and she always scores ninety percent or higher on her exams. She has a bright future ahead of her. Keerthika wants to become a police officer when she grows up. She loves to smile, and seeing her is enough to brighten anyone's day. Rising Star Outreach would not be the same with out our little Keerthika.

Kogul has huge amounts of energy for such a small body!  He loves to run in races.  He is by far the fastest in his class, and he can even beat some of the older boys.  His favorite game is kabadi (the native form of tag), which he always wins.  Kogul plays hard, works hard, and sleeps hard.  He is always one of the first asleep at nap time.  His favorite subject is math, but he also enjoys Tamil.  Kogul want so be a train conductor or a bus driver when he grows up.  We love having Kogul here at Rising Star... he certainly keeps us all on our toes.
